I was told that the factory gauges should not be trusted that they are just fancy "dummie" guages. Okay Im cool with that so I now have a Edge Insight (luv it by the way). Now the question I have is the Insight reads transmission temp. Its getting the temp reading from the same source as the "dummie" guage does so how much better or accurate is it? To get a true reading will I have to go with a aftermarket tranny pan with a temp probe? Thanks J

Well here is my $0.02.. I have the insight and when the tranny temp gets warmer I dont see the gauge move.. My point is the gauge goes up when it's too late and already hot. Same as ECT and EOT. The "dummy guage won't show you when your at 190 or 225.. It just sits in the middle. So hope that helps you a little.
