I have a Gear Box Z Tachyon installed right now and I'm thinking of getting the Edge Evo for gauge purposes. I'll probably tune it for power as well but I want to know if it will be able to work and not mess with my Tachyon. I have an SCT 8900 on it right now and that works just fine with the Tachyon. I just don't like how the gauges are laid out or the programming. What do you all recommend?

How much power do you want? I think the edge won't even close to compare to a custom tune. I would recommend getting a custom tune on your sct and a edge insight cts for gauges.

I don't think the 8900 comes with tunes for my truck anyways. I did some reading up on it when I was looking at the Edge Evo and it said not all vehicles come with standard tunes. I've had an Edge before and liked it and the power it added. Had an SCT with RCD tunes on my 6.0 and I loved their tunes. I just don't want custom tuning to interfere with my Tachyon. So with that being said, Will it?

I think edge is a decent tuner and I love the on the fly tune change capability. If you're looking for big power its not the one to get. I missed the part about you saying you have an 8900. I have no idea if you can put custom tunes on it. As far as custom tunes messing with the tachyon I dont know. Your best bet would be to call a custom tuner and ask them if you can run their tunes with your tachyon.
My original plan was to run a dpf-r 4.0 with a sct 3015 and custom tunes. I found a livewire off-road tuner before I actually did it.

Also it shouldn't be a problem running an edge with the tachyon as long as you load the stock power dpf delete tune before installing the edge

Who writes good custom tunes for a 6.4? I don't really want anything nuts, Just something to scoot along and have some good fun with. And TRY to get some decent mileage. I have 37s on it right now, so that might be a little challenging.

I've heard nothing but good things about Gearhead tunes.... Maybe see what they can do for you?

I have innovative's 5 tune package. My favorite is the extreme street. I've also heard good things about gearhead.

^Yup same with innovative. Their tow, and street tunes are 100$ Each and the extreme tunes are 150$ each. I think the 5 tune package is 400$

Diesel tunes are cheap, it's nice. $400 for 5 tunes is a steal.

Okay cool. I appreciate the help guys! Those prices aren't too bad either. I'll give them a call this week and see what they can do with my tachyon and 8900.
