I would not say the 2020 turbos are poor quality.
The comp wheel is smaller
turbine wheel is smaller
shaft is smaller
and went back to a dual ball bearing cartridge similar to the 2011-2014
The power gains on the truck might have nothing to do with the turbo... the engine got a lot of upgrades including the pistons, injectors, injection system, rods, etc.
