It will keep the ebv from closing. You would have to secure the ebv open some how though. If not it could close on you. If you are not having problems with it I would leave it be.
You can just unhook it and wire the valve open. Or you can remove the housing and gut and plug it.
You can get away with removing the housing with the turbo in the truck if you can take your DP out. If you can't take your DP out... then you'd have to remove the turbo.
I just did the EBPV delete and gutted/plugged drew's pedistal a few weekends ago.
