For me the best trick I have found is a set of needle nose pliers with the curved jaws. Lots of WD40 on the clip so it slides easily and patients.

the pliers I have, .............patience. not so sure about anymore. I have pulled trubos 5 x in the past few weeks........:doh:

Well I hope that helps you. I tent to have to lay across the top of the engine to do it.

I have 3/4" foam pads that work well. I'm just sick of doing it.......I'll feel better when its all in & it runs correctly

Use needle nose vice grips to hold the actuator rod where you need it also.
