Does anyone have an early 99 compressor wheel in their truck? Im selling an early 99 turbo, and I was considering swapping the wheel with my 01, and put the 01 wheel in the early 99 turbo. Will this work and is it worth the time?

It will work but the main reason people put the e99 wheels (wicked wheel) in the late turbos was to correct surge. By doing so you will loose a couple of PSI of boost on top end. Dieselsite has a wickedwheel generation 2 for like $229 and you not only take care of the surge problem but you also pick up several lbs of boost pressure. My e99 would make 32-34lbs on an 80hp tune.

Alright, thanks for the info, I don't have any gauges yet, so I think ill just sell it and keep the wheels where they are.
