any tips to getting the nut off? i put some heat on it and hit it with the impact, but all it does is spin.

I can spin it with my fingers, but its not engaging the threads. I just dont get it. Cant really break out the bfh either or i risk damaging the drive shaft.

Seems like your down to the small cut off wheel/grinder. Cut away at what part of the head you can. Chisel the rest off?

i took one look at the long pta driveshaft and carrier bearing and had put it in the back of my tahoe
when I got back it was all fixed up, and I was about 300 bucks lighter LOL

one of the few things I don not mind paying others to do
