Dorman products are a 90% bust rate. I and many others found out the hardwar dorman products should be avoided on vehicles unless you re trying to just sell a junker quickly. I know how expensive motorcraft is esp during these times but there is a wise saying with money spent on parts. Buy once, cry once.

I agree with Justin0009. Not just Dorman, but any off brand part for these trucks. Perhaps a non-engine part, but not something for the engine. Had a belt pulley in a different vehicle thought I was saving a bunch of money that I got for about $30, but two years later the pulley shattered and cost me $600 of engine damage. I do occasionally use Dorman on my truck for things that will not leave me stranded on the side of the rode like the heating cooling blend door actuator I replaced is dorman and has been fine for four years.

There are some upgrades that are not OEM, but not all aftermarket parts are upgrades.
