This is my first post so... Hello everybody! Thanks in advance for your help!
Sometimes with the door closed, engine off and the key in my hand the chime won't turn off. (My wife said I had the same confused look just like the RCA dog!) On occasion the engine is off, the key in the ignition, I'm outside and it's chiming away until I go back in and pull the key. Sometimes the interior lights won't go off.
I read some past threads about dirty hinges affecting the switch and some about removing the door panel to access something by the handle.
Are there any pics of the switch location or any threads detailing the fix?
Is this the same problem or two different ones?

Our 99 work truck has this similar problem all the time. The door pin is in the door catch on the door. Just spray the beegeebers outta the catch with WD-40 and open and close the door then spray again. Just make sure you only spray the catch and inside, try not to make a mess all over the door. Usually that solves the problem most of the time.

That solves usually theproblem of the inside lights staying on, so it might solve your issue. Worth a try being a cheap fix.

And, :ORG welcome::thumb:
