2001 f350 7.3 4x4. i have had this truck a long time,, keeping it for sure,, i am doing a big tear down (for me) replacing water pump, steering box, radiator hoses, heater hoses, it has a oil leak which i want to fix and i posted pic in earlier thread. thinking of switching out all belt pulleys? what else should i do pre-emptively, while it is torn down. also doing front calipers and shocks and steering stabilizer and new belt of course.

I'd check the oil cooler. Orings go bad over time and leak.
I recently had mine rebuilt.

i think you are correct, the more i look. will add rebuild oil cooler to list of stuff to do while apart
I'd consider a non-ebpv turbo pedestal, possibly replacing the fuel lines as it's only a matter of time before the hold downs rub a hold in them. Pretty common to see and the main reason I designed this kit.

Up pipes if they are leaking.

i had already replaced the "easy to get at" hard fuel lines after one got a rubbed hole in it.

i don't think i have the ebpv anymore,, i think the banks brake took it's place. the banks brake is a total piece of ****. doesn't work,, has never really worked. bought it new from banks in 2011. worst money i ever spent. had it professionally installed by decent ford mechanic. banks is so weird, sometimes you get someone helpful,, other times you get treated like ****. anyway,, i guess i have deleted the ebpv with a piece of decoration. i have a friend with exact same truck, he bought it with the banks brake. his works fine and good. i have literally and forensically gone over every inch of every wire and thing on his install to compare to mine and they are identical.

I’d get a billet thermostat housing & new Motorcraft thermostat when you do your water pump. That’s the only combination that guarantees no leaks there

Fresh GPR, ICP sensor, and I was going to say the billet Tstat housing and Tstat, but already mentioned. I'd make sure to get the upper radiator hose that goes around the belt and not through it (this one). Tie rods might need a look/replacement if they haven't been touched in a long time. Also, I'd look at new valve cover gaskets and make sure the connections are good for the injectors. I got stranded last year on a road trip when the injector harness in the gasket partially disconnected, resulting in my injectors failing to operate for that set of cylinders :(
Oil cooler
Fuel lines at rhenehads
Rebuild fuel bowl
Check valve cover harnesses
Change o rigs on the injectors
Cups if it’s high miles. Maybe injectors if it’s up there in miles also
Turbo pedestal and o rigs
Up pipes if leaking
