Hey everyone, was checking out the TN strokers and noticed they had a pic thread for members recognition. Sounded like a good idea I'm gonna post up a couple if I can get'em off my cell phone. Later Whit
Thats my dually pulling in my buddy's new toy, talk about luck he gave 500 for it and had to pull the column out of another truck, we replaced the Idm and it cranked up and ran like a singer sewing machine after sitting up for the last 4 years. I'll try to get some better pics of mine when the ole' fatbottomed girl is cleaned up and dressed for the ball. Later Whit

Okay, that does it, next free day I have I am going to get my boat out and get it ready and actually use it this year!.... Hope I get a free day soon!
I didnt get mine out hardly any last year and I regret every minute of it. I think I had it out maybe twice during the spring. Thats it. This year has been a lot better. Been out in it almost every weekend in 2011. It was down for two weeks waiting on a starter solenoid. The boat is getting some TLC. Gave her a bath earlier this afternoon, but the list goes on.

Make the trailer road worthy
Fix the live well
Get some type of electronics in it. Mostly for depth
Get the engine tuned up
Rewire all the current electronics.

Fixed the lights and starter this past weekend.

I like that Procraft. My buddy just sold his 2001 model. I wish I could have bought it.

Jealous!!!!!!!! I haven't had a boat in so long. Years ago I had a bass boat and did a lot of tournamant fishing, then when it got time for my son to come around it got sold and......... you know the rest of the story. I'm down to just 4 rods with reels and a small tackle box. Man I got to get out more.
Ive got a 14' aluminum John boat that probably gets used more than the venture.

Over the past couple day I found out what kind of community I live in. I really thought I would be busting my *** trying to clean up, help, fix etc... people houses, but everyone around had the same idea. By lunch time Thursday (April 28) everything that could have been cleaned up had been. It really put it in perspective what type of people I live around.

The storm went just south of my place, but I have many friends all over the lake.

This was a metal building

Thats it across the road

There is nothing left of the Military base

And here is the bad stuff. The neighborhood a good friend of mine lives in.

There used to be house there ^^^

Behind my friends house

Someones boat

Used to be a nice dock right here.

Now my friends place. He got really lucky. Every tree in his yard had been blown over, but they only took out his deck

His neighbors house completely off the foundation

Tuscaloosa is pretty much like that, leveled. I had to go and take some food and cash to a friend[she usually just uses a debit card that no one can take in town due to no satellite, telephone lines not working, cell towers on overload]. I really was wanting to avoid the President since he was in town and got lucky enough to get there an hour after he left. Our friend is the store manager for Rack Room Shoe's store in Midtown Village. She was there when it hit. They have holes in the roof, windows knocked out on the store, her car lost both driver's side windows and got scratched up. I ended up taking a tour I didn't want to get there. The police were rerouting traffic away from there. The detour put me through some neighborhoods with minor damage[trees down, tin in trees, etc], ended up at the University Mall[the one in the U Tube video where the guy recorded it from a vehicle]. I was able to walk across to her store and take her food/cash. While I was there, we all finished rearranging the shoes away from the roof leaks and finished securing the store. She actually spent the night there after the storm with her regional manager who happen to be headed back through. They had no way to properly lock the store up with the door broke, so they guarded it all night. Good thing too, had several people walk by and pull on the door she said, which stopped when they shined their flashlights inside. I won't go back, way too many people just walking around sight seeing. I came home and stopped by another friends house and started cutting on her trees[5] in her driveway. Knew her since grade school, just couldn't leave her completely screwed. I feel for the people in Tuscaloosa, but I'm starting with home area 1st. I have to drop the saw off to get fixed and a new chain to finish the last 3. The best thing they could do would be chipping all of the limbs for mulch and send the trees to the lumber mills, they'll need every 2x4 they can get.

When I left Beans today there were 6 electric co. bucket trucks headed south on 65. Couldn't tell what membership they were from, but I know they where headed where they're needed most. Good luck to all yall, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have two saw's and 6 chains. I can usually cut all day without sharpening a chain.

I'm leaving tuesday with work for a couple weeks, or I'd probably be headed y'all's way.

God Bless y'all.
I rarely use a saw, maybe once a year. Nothing on the scale of the last month's of use. I left it with the shop needing new chain, mounts, and fixing the hard/no start deal. I may get an extra chain though.
Crap dude. That's pretty bad.
Thats not the worst of it. I have some more pictures foundations...

The closed the lake to boaters this weekend. They keep finding bodies in the lake. :(
There used to be three houses right here. My friends house was on the far left. She, her husband and their 3 y/o daughter were in the house.

Also got me a “new” John Deere L yesterday too!
Here are some pics of my newest family member and some pics of missing/broken parts that I have found so far;

Anyone got a line on any of these missing/broken parts?

Nice Frog! You got your work cut out for you!
Cool projects Frog. I know in the case of my Chevelle I can pic up any number of catalogs to order a replacement for a missing or broken part. Are there resources for older tractors that have been out of production so long that parts are not on shelf anymore? I have seen folks restore a tractor that maybe there father/grandfather had that might be still all there, and just need motor work and paint and such to get back to "glory days", but like these that will need way more than that, where do you start?!?!??!
I found and looked up the serial numbers, looks like I got a 1939 styled L and a 1940 styled B slantdash

There are numerous repro parts places and even junkyards, for most parts if you can afford it you can get it.
So I've been trying to sell my 2009 factory 20's and tires for awhile now, until I found a post on my local craigslist entitled "WTB: 20" Wheels and Tires for '06 F-250." So I contacted him, told him what I had, sent him a few pictures of the setup, and told him make me an offer, or I'm open for trades. He replied and said "Well, I'm kinda low on cash now, because I just got out of court for 8 tickets. I've got a bike I'll trade even with ya." I said, OK, let me see some pics, and what kind of bike is it? To be honest, I wasn't really interested, because I have no need for a bike, and I don't want anything else sitting in the garage. he reply's with the picture I will list at the bottom, and says, "It's a 2002 suzuki gsf 1200." I was like, "Holy crap, I want this thing." So I give him a call and here's the lowdown on the bike:

2002 Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit
-15,000 miles
-Yoshimura exhaust
-Brand new upgraded carburetor jets
-Recently cleaned carburetor
-Brand new tires
-Two 2" long scratches on the body
-Otherwise in perfect condition

You think I made the trade? :hehe: I'm gonna go pick it up this week most likely. Probably just gonna sell it though. :(

Did ya sell it?
