If you would like to become a member of the Dixie Strokers please introduce yourself here. Just give a little info about you and your truck. I will start.

My name is Grayson and I live in Moody which is 20 miles east of Birmingham. I work with my Dad right now doing Stained Glass Windows for Churches. I am constantly in the Greater Birmingham Area and the Alexander City/Auburn area so if you are around those places let me know so we can meet up. My truck is a white 2005 F-350 srw that is my daily driver and has the miles to prove it. I cant wait to meet everyone. Here is a picture of the truck.

My name is Tracy Wright. I have an 06 f250 4x4 black with a tan bottom, 36k on the clock. She is pretty much a toy and tow truck. I have always loved trucks [prefer faster ones]. I'm 36 and pretty much act about late 20's. No kids, married when she claims me, work at Mercedes-Benz in Vance. We live in Centreville about 30 miles east of Tuscaloosa. We also have 4 other vehicles of our own and a Corolla I inherited. The other 4 are: 03 Ford Lightning [34,500], 07 Mustang GT [3900], 98 Tacoma [128,000] 95 Camry [206,000+]. As you can see by the list we kinda have a small collection. My hobbies are pretty much all car/truck related. Look forward to meeting the rest of you.
My Rancher is a 2000 model and still going. I've sunk her to the seat once and she was still purring. I just pulled her out and changed fluids. I just rinsed her off from getting almost stuck a couple of hours ago. Apparently the tractor is better at mudding than the 4 wheeler. I didn't have to get off of it to get it out. I also learn that 3/4 worn out all terrain tires suck on a wet grass covered hillside. It took me 4 tries to get the f250 out. I finally just got ill and punched it to the top. I was trying not to tear up the grass and hillside since I cut it with the mower. I guess I loss that battle. Time for some BFG Mud Terrains.
I live in Centreville about 50 mins. below Birmingham.
I see you found us. Glad you decided to come hang out. There's an added benefit to this place. You know all those parts you're going to order as soon as you discover them, that the wife is going to ask you about? Well just blame them on one of us. We just bragged and told you how great theat part was and how it fixed this and made your life so much easier. Example: Goose [Grayson]said those tires I ordered were some of the best mud tires for the price. He says they are worth the wait time and price. Goose doesn't know he's told me all that but it sounds good enough to sell the wife. Don't worry Goose, I didn't put you on the hook for that, but there happens to be some Harley headlights on Ebay with a HID conversion [high and low beam] already done for a fair price I think. You need to tell me how bright they are and how they will help me see better at night. You also need to tell me how good those Harley headlights would look on my truck too; and $300 or so isn't bad at all.
Yea, that one has hit the back burner and down the skids for a few weeks. I went back and actually priced the set up and it was $289.00 and free shipping. I see that coming in sometime before Christmas shutdown. I know times are hard and all, but 2 years ago I bought a $500 Trickflow intake, injectors, throttle body, and other supporting parts for my 90 gt I used to have. I believe time I got it running, I had over $1k in parts or close to it. I guess you could call that a Christmas present, but it's more like to keep me busy during the holidays. I kinda enjoy them in that way. Nothing like new boxes of parts, jawing with the UPS guy, and turning wrenches. My way of keeping the extended family out of my hair. None of them know anything about cars other than where to put the key, and they don't do getting dirty. Perfect. I think I can swing this Christmas on a little less.
Just search F250 2003-07 and you should find the set up I'm talking about. If you want I can post a link, I have it saved in favorites or something.
You can afford to hotrod it, I said that about every vehicle brought home. I don't think I've missed one yet. Even the Corolla has a K&N filter in it. I understand about the projects too. We usually have 2 shutdowns a year from work. I order up parts in anticipation of those weeks off. I That's my down time, nothing like just turning wrenches at your own pace and modding.
We'll let you in anyway. Nebraska wasn't really part of the war between the states. JK Glad to have you. We all pretty much love trucks, speeding in various degrees, and hotrodding everything.
Tell me about it, all I could hear from the wife was how I shortened her life by a decade. It was sort of my fault we were late for church but that's it. I laid out to pass 2 Z71's and the slowpoke in front. The middle truck thought of passing and got out there too. Not my fault I was way faster and had to let out to keep from shoving him around the front guy, hey I was last. Just to add insult, I passed him too. He wasn't in a hurry, just thought he was.
Glad to see you found us Neal, just blame the upgrades on one of us. Goose was great for my Harley lights, just got them in and installed.
We have a deal until the end of the week going to accept yankees, you just made it. JK Glad to have you around and Wecome aboard. Get ready to blow some $$$$, we're good at helping you spend it. Why Goose made me buy some Harley headlights, almost broke my arm. We won't mention all of the other stuff that's changed. I going to soon need a storage shed for the stock and spare parts I removed.
I've got several pits, the diesel is on top for now, used to be my Lightning, and the other 4 vehicles just fall in somewhere. I went to Walmart oil and filters for the cars and trucks, came out $155 poorer and I already had the filter for the diesel. I shouldn't fuss, this will be the Lightning's only oil change since last January[probably still doesn't have a 1000 miles yet], and her Mustang since March or so. The Mustang has already had 3-4 oil changes and it doesn't have more than 4,000 on it.
I was told it was cheaper, and it shows you care for and appreciate your vehicles. As for as toys go, if you count Hot Wheels, I'm probably doing pretty good in the game. I still haven't done the oil changes on anything, just to much stuff going on and it's cold.
Welcome man, guess the cold drove you in to find us. If you can't do anything else, keep warm and hangout here. The modding bug, when it hits, is passed around. When you find something that just can't wait, blame it on one of us. Goose is responsible for the headlights on my truck, not sure on who's getting the blame for tires, the window tint goes to a local buddy. Just consider us all bad influences on your wallet.
Welcome Liz, not sure about the eagle deal, but to teach their own. Go ahead and get your mod list together so you can figure out who to blame it on.
Sounds like a nice ride, I assume you read my previous post of how to blame your next mod. I actually think you've got it down, with all the mods you've gotten in. Welcome to the worst bad habit club you can join.
Welcome to the worst habit you can pick up. I've admitted to the problem, just don't want help.
Welcome guys, we need some new motivation on our bad habits.
Welcome and sorry for the bad influences we are about to become. Just blame whatever the truck/needs but you really want on one of us.
