Most of us are on a budget and like the AE for $359. I got mine at RiffRaff. The amount of information is overwelming. Sometimes there are so many parameters you lose sight of what you were looking for. Google Woodnthings, he has his own page thet talks a lot about diagnostics and the AE scanner. As for the others?? If they are close to $359 I would have considered them. AE lets you buy software support for manufacture specific, ie ford enhanced, chevy, dodge, all american or all import. As I find money on the trees I will buy out the other packages but for now I am hooked up with FORDs.
Again the info is alot. If you cannot troubleshoot and know diesel basics this can still lead you into a lot of wasted spending. Here everyone tries to narrow the field and many uses the AE tool as well. With that it is easier when you get stuck as we also use the same tester. The results and how often the scanner looks wil vary slightly. THe actual sensors read depend on what you ask the scanner. In that aspect all scanners mentioned are the same. Reseting and reprogramming the truck requires scanners in the $2000-12000 range. My buddy who is always busy and never available for a free scan has one awsome $12000 scanner that came with the computor, printer and lots of troubleshooting software. Hey it's his job so he needed everything.
Good luck hope we get another AE user.
