does ford have a package for trucks to were you can get a lift through the dealer so you get to still get your warranty. I know that chevy has a package called the rocky mountain package that comes with a 6in suspension lift with 38's. I'm wanting to put a lift on my truck but if they don't offer such a package then I'll just keep it stock until my warranty goes out. I would call them and ask but a phone in the middle of no were Iraq doesn't exist. lol. Thanks for any help.

Well I see them on dealer lots all the time around here. Not sure if its a Ford package. But if you wait till you warranty is done then you would be waiting 5 yrs or 100,000 miles....Personally, if I knew I was going to lift my truck I couldnt wait that long!

FWIW...a good, respectable dealer wouldn't screw you on warranty work just b/c you have a lift. I'm one of the lucky guys on here that has a dealer like this...so, they do exist

You could probably get a dealer to do it. I know around here there used to be a company that took the truck, lifted it and then the dealer sold it that way as a
'Regency Conversion' and i think there's still a Southern Comfort company doing the same in some states. It may be hard to find one done since the 6.7s are so new still and there aren't just a ton sittin on the lots as of yet... But I'm sure you could get any dealer to do it, but they usually jack up the price of lift and all that substantially, so I'd look at prices first.

That would be the way to do it - as it would be easier to deal with should a nasty problem arise. And I have seen the rather large mark-ups too - although negotiating down to a reasonable price for the upgrades would bring piece of mind. Just make sure that the upgrades are listed on the original buyers order.

You wouldn't buy a conversion van with two invoices, so I wouldn't buy a truck with two invoices either. You may have to put the "extra" money down in order to get financing - so be prepared.
