Hello,

I have 2000 F-250 7.3 and Unfortunately the previous owner put his knee on the oil pressure sensor pigtail. The gauge was dancing up and down for awhile but now has decided to completely stop working and leaving the oil pressure warning light on. My question is- Does that sensor simply speak to the gauge or does it speak to the trucks computer and throwing other stuff off?

Thanks!

Because you can read Oil Pressure with a scanner, that means that it's reporting to the PCM and not just to the gauge (you can't read ECT from the PCM because it only speaks to the gauge)
