Have an 04 6.0 all the bulletproofing, egr delete, head studs/gaskets, oil cooler. You name it. Driving around 60 miles+ per day. Want to here input on whats best for most importantly fuel mileage but also a substantial amount of power. P.S. Already have a SCT X4, currently running the canned +65 horse tune. Much appreciated!!

I have tunes from Gearhead (unlimited tow, 8k tow, SRL+, SRLxx), quick trick (looney wild), Innovative Diesel Performance-aka IDP (XtremeX, Xtreme Race, Xtreme Street, Street, Tow), Tony Wildman aka TDP (extreme), Truck Source Diesel (Super panty dropper-aka SPD), Power Hungry Performance (100 performance, 200 extreme, 65 tow)

I have only had the SPD for a few weeks, but I can say that it is by far my favorite all around tune. Shifting is perfect to me, GH SLR+ and SLRxx are a very close second. Bottom end and midrange power is the best of all, GH and PHP are not to far behind. Top end is not quite as good as IDP XtremeX and Xtreme Race, but very close. Fuel economy is a close second to quick tricks.

For towing, PHP is my favorite, but I do not tow very often or very heavy.

Every truck responds differently to tunes and everyone has there personal likes and dislikes. The above work well for me and my truck.

I have always gotten my best mileage out of my race level files. X-Race (IDP) would see 16.2 mpg vs. 14.5 mpg stock. I don't have numbers for Ultimate-X (IDP) or White Rain (WPE) for steady interstate on my new Stage 2 Turbo. If I manage that over the next couple of weeks I'll let you know, the city numbers are similar to X-Race, when I can manage to drive without a lead foot.

Another attribute you may look into is tuning you FICM, the reason I mention this is the low-RPM response I have with my IDP FICM tunes. Get the boost built lower, and I'm more effeicent in town - 1.0-1.5mpg better over SCT alone tuning.
