Hi, I have a 1997 f350 power stroke, I recently cleaned and rebuilt my fuel bowl with the dieselOrings kit. Filled up filter bowl with diesel clean bled the system through the shredder valve, and truck fired up, let it warm up drove around town. Then check engine light came on truck had a few hiccups and cleared out. stopped by 7-11 turned it off, started back up left, went home, let her idle, shut down, and restarted. no problems.
The next day; came out crank no start. we bled the fuel through the shredder valve fired up drove 2 blocks and died, tried everything i could think; pulled the fuel bowl again and reinspected work done we did all new fuel hoses with injection hose clamps. everything looks good I am currently waiting for the batts to recharge. Any Ideas???

I realize this is a bit old, but check your fuel pressure.

I rebuilt my fuel bowl and replaced all the hoses, including the high pressure return hoses, and somewhere along the line the pump started crapping out. I'm guessing the diaphragm was just getting old and when I had the pump out of the engine for a few days it had enough time to dry up and harden, so when I cranked it back up the pump died.
