Im new to powerstrokes for the most part, and have been looking for a 95-97 f250 7.3L and I found one but it needs new crank bearings. I cannot find anything about this anywhere online. Help please?

Did it spin a bearing? Did the current owner pull it apart and see that? If it spun a bearing, then you'll probably have to do a rebuild, polish the crank journals and get new bearings to fit what you polished off the journals.

When does he hear it, or does he know for sure he spun a bearing?

When does he hear what, the idle? And Idk if he spun it or not since he didn't pull it apart

in my opinion, you would have to pull the engine, pull the crank and have it miked....if anything in there has turned blue, it is JUNK...... crank and block both..... I do not believe in turning cranks, or re-furbishing blocks that have had a spun crank to the turn blue point....just asking for trouble lateron....

If you do the labor yourself, it won't cost you anything but time. If you pull the motor, put it on a stand and pull the oil pan and check for any rod clatter.

Well I dont have the tools, and I can get it cheaper as my dad is the body shop manager at a local ford. But I would like to see what im getting myself into before I would buy it.
