About to order a CPS and I have noticed several people talking about different colors and how they perform. Can someone let me know what color and manufacturer they use? I see them in gray, and what looks to be blue or black from manufacturers such as Airtex Wells, Delphi, and Standard Motor Products.

Are you having any problems with your truck now? Like rough idle, dying on you or anything of the sort? The different color cps is going to have a different affect on the trucks and most of the time its not a significant difference.. I bought a purple/dark blue IH one, but I was having a rough idle..

Not trying to keep you from doing anything, but if its running fine, why change it?

It idles fine. I was just looking under the truck the other day and noticed grease and grime all over it. I plan to clean it up. I have also heard owners state that it might be good to have a spare.

BTW, how does your truck sound with straight pipe? I still have my stock exhaust and plan to remove the muffler and go with a straight pipe.

Id get one the same color as what your running now for a spare. Also would stay from the autozone cps. Stick with OEM or IH. Those will keep our trucks happiest.

I like my straight pipe. Its not much louder in the cab unless you really get on it. Im ready to get my turbo back ordered tho.

international dealership should have the most recent one. I hear gray is the best one though.
