Ok I am confused I check coolant cold and its just below Min (on the Max side of recall sticker)...Then when I start it it drops considerably instantly... After it gets hot the coolant re appears about 1" below min... As soon as I shut it off coolant refills degass right to where its supposed to be 1/2 inch below min...

Question is why does the coolant almost disappear when I first start it then levels off... Any thought

Im glad im not the only one that scratches my head at this. I keep wanting to add some haha.

You're system is becoming pressurized and the coolant fills in more. Then when it shuts off it's warm and fluids expand when warm. When cold they contract and therefore it looks to be less.

As long the level stays the same at the same temps then you're good. Don't worry about it.

If it's at a cold level one day and then at the same level while cold the next, then you're good. Don't worry about the fluctuation while driving.
