Hey guys I have a 07 with 196k. With a new stc fitting and ipr valve, Full synthetic oil and new coolant. Ever since we got the truck its had the P0279 Code, we were able to do the buzz test and found out there was no buzz at all coming from injector 7 what could this mean? Bad wires? Hopefully not a bad injector hnoes:
Any advice or suggestions always help! Thanks.

Swap the plugs (injector connectors) on #5 and #7 and retest to see if the problem follows.

While I don't disagree that swapping will identify a bad injector, you may want to start with checking the connector to that injector. Checking the FICM connector and the harness for chafing are simple and easy first steps, as well.

Thank you! We switched the plugs and ran the buzz test and injector 7 buzzed. That means we have a bad wire somewhere, the search starts!

Haha no injector 5 did not buzz when we switched the injector plugs. We are replacing the whole injector harness because its a mess.
