I have a 97 f-250 PSD 5 spd I was wonder if my problem is the throw out bearing or pressure plate or maybe something else??? Ok here's my problem, when I shift from 3 rd into 2nd and when I push the clutch in in 2nd gear to come to a stop I can hear a chatter or rattling noise. Any ideas on what that is?

How does it engage ? Right of the floor , does it chatter ? probably your throw out bearing . My neighbors 95 F250 had a bent clutch fork which chewed up the throwout bearing . He put in a new clutch while everything was apart.Either way it doesn't sound like it will get better on its own. You'll find out soon when it takes a dump on you.
