I bought a used truck and recently found that it had a chip installed. I was looking at the PCM and saw a Superchips installed at the box. I want to change from that to a position switch chip. The chip in there now is a Superchips NVK3-CARB that came from BD Performance.

How do I remove the one that is in there now?
Do I have to take the truck in to get the computer to read as stock or will it do it automatically when the chip is removed?

No need to disconnect the batteries, just make sure the keys are in the house, back seat, your pocket, anywhere but in the ignition.

I just look at the front of the PCM and there is a yellow superchips box visible coming from the front of the PCM. I take it I need to unscrew the PCM from the kick plate so I can open it and pull the chip though right? It seems a little tough to do when everything is still mounted.
