Will this only work in cold climates? I am planning on trying this if it will work in Alabama.

I made this filtering device and have been using it. In my practice keeping the flow low is mandatory to having clean oil. At first I heated the barrel and used a higher flow and found a lot of water in my oil.

No heat and easy does it.

I have used this method with some modifications for 6 years in multiple vehicles. I use it year round and can process about 50 gallons per week. My oil quality is comparible to my father in law's centrifuged oil. Cost was about $100. I use a two tank system.
