Is it recommended to use or not to use an sca charged filter on these trucks?

I can't find a definite answer anywhere

Here's a list of filters I found. They are coolant filters w/o additive in them:

Fleetguard WF-2077
Baldwin B5134
John Deere RE11992
Caterpillar 9Y4528
Cummins 3300721
Wix 24070
Napa 4070
AC-Delco WF-108
Fram PR3383
Donaldson P554685
Alliance WF2077
Carquest 89070
Hastings WC8

Hope this helps :thumb:

What effects would a dca charged filter have on the cooling system

Depends on what coolant you have in your truck... Gold (and you haven't added any more SCAs)...most likely nothing. If you have an ELC, odds are not much has happened but getting some test strips to make sure the coolant is still with in spec is a good idea.

If you added an SCA coolant filter to a system that already has SCA in it, then you can have drop out from the coolant...which WILL clog your oil cooler.

I have a wix 24070 that came with my sinister filter kit that says filter/conditioner on the side...does that mean it has an additive? the guy at my local shop had a pretty old wix 24070 that just said coolant filter on it.
