hey guys i got an 04 f-350 with leaf springs in the front and i would like to change to coils can i just find a 05 and newer frame and change over parts or do i have to get a lift kit from a company that make the converision kit? any info would be great thanks

you can do it with an old frame. i saw an excursion done like this. turned out very good. you could not tell a difference that it was done. i was thinking of doing this also but i have enough projects. :thumb:

IMHO if your going to go through that much work to put coil springs up front why not go ahead and step up to c/o's with a nice 4 link. The ride quality and handling will be way better and you'll also have room for adjustment. How tall are you wanting to go?

i agree with falcon, but i was just stating that it can be done. is it the best way? i think there are better ways like was stated.

I would look into a triangulated 3link. Easier setup cooler look and more travel. Watch you angles. I would take a look at some of the 4x4 sites like pirate4x4... Lots of very indepth info and I'd bet a dozen that have done it.

I have coils on my 350 and would like to lift it maybe two inches,what should I use?

spacers, new shocks and 4" rear blocks to replace the stock 2" blocks. There are kits or the parts can be found seprately. Biltsien shocks are the forums favorites
