so ive been looking over the procedure for changing my ball joints and one step says theres four bolts behind the hub that i need to take out. well i looked today and the picture attached is what i found. they are round with one flat side? am i looking in the right place?

also, i just replaced all my steering linkage. im trying to align the tires strait but when i put the truck down on weight the left wheel looks like its turning in. why would this be happening? if my linkage is all set, it shouldnt move

Those are the studs. Once you get the brake rotor off, you will see the nut that holds the spindle on the knuckle.

Do yourself a favor and go to AutoZone and rent their 4wd spindle removal tool. It is a socket that screws onto the end of the spindle and a slide hammer that you use to get the spindle off. It is VERY easy to use.
