As a new owner could someone tell me if the 2005 6.0 had a cat. converter?
F250 4x4 Lariet trim, K&N intake and looks like maybe a 5" pipe maybe 4" to the muffler and 4" diameter measured at the tip from the muffler back.
Thanks

thanks

Thought maybe so but was not sure. Not on the one I just bought, probably why I can hear the turbo in the exhaust during warmup.
Plan on pulling a 6000 pound empty, 8000 pound max 5er,
first experience with diesel but I think it will beat the pants off the old 97
5.4 gasser we were using.
For more personal stuff check out QRZ. com and look up W7TZS in the call sign block.

Best oil to use? I read quite a bit about Rotella and see all kinds of adds for synthetics ETC.
Rig has to run long time,
example we gave a 91 Topaz to the Salvation Army when it had about 300000mi,
Our 81 subaru broke a piston at 330000 and went to live with a subaru mechanic, the 97 5.4 gasser only had 123000 when we changed to the PSD,
practically a new truck

What about Purple? They rate their durability for 12,000 miles, not only that but it could save you some mpg's they did the test in a 7.3 and got a little better mpg.
