can anyone recommend some good gas stations for quality fuel? some friends i know who own diesels highly recommend Shell for diesel, but would like to know a couple more that have good fuel as there isnt always a shell available or even name a few brands to avoid for poor fuel.
the town i live in has Fas gas for diesel and i always see the diesel trucks filling up there but is it only cause the choice is limited or do they have good fuel?
any help would be appreciated as i want to treat my new truck well
thx in advance

If you fuel at stations that pump a lot of diesel you should have no problem. That way you will be getting "fresh" fuel.

the only time I have ever got bad fuel in Alberta was from a UFA...I put 30k on in Alberta this winter.
Husky, Shell , petro-canada , Fas Gas , 7-11 (petro-canada also)Macs.
I try to go to these stations when posible....have never heard anything bad about their fuel.

I usually fuel up at Shell and Petrocan and UFA. Seem to get the worst mileage off shell fuel actually. I have heard Flying J is bad and that's why it's so cheap, but I don't know if that's true.

What problems did you have with UFA?

Anyone have any experience with Shell V-power diesel? Searched on google but only found opinions from europe. They didn't like it - lower mileage and increased engine noise.

tried it too... wasn't particularly fond of it.

I like Husky/Mohawk dieselmax - appears to have the highest cetane - always noticeably quieter when running that fuel - and I don't say that lightly as I've been a fan of Chevron for over 30 years.

Sunoco or Shell for me. No idea if its any better but just convince as they are just about anywhere I go with diesel on the pumps not like Petro "Gas only". :tard:
