I have an old Spartan tuner on my truck and I've been running their 210 tow performance tune since the middle of 2010. Overall the truck runs really good, with the only complaint I have being the occasional rev-slam when driving slowly (like turning corners in my neighborhood).

I've found a source for all the most recent Patriot tunes (most recent being three years old now since the EPA put them out of business), but all the firmware updates reference " nDash" or "nGauge". A google image search shows that the nDash looks a lot like the old DashDAQ, but looks can often be deceiving.

So can the old Spartan DashDAQ be updated with nDash firmware and allow me to run the Patriot tunes (and hopefully do away with rev-slam).

Thanks

Don't believe they're the same. Dashdaq was a company called Drewtech who made it and the nDash is Zeitronix. If it can read the same things that I don't know, but seeing they're 2 different companies I'd think not.

I decided to go poke around Zeitronoix's website to see it I could just by the hardware (as I already have the tune files). The more I look, the more I think the DashDAQ and the nDash are just different revisions of the same thing. Perhaps the nDash is the like a DashDAQ 2.0 type thing.

And when I clicked around at the FAQ's and installation pages (on Zeitronix's own website) they call it DashDAQ in a few places. Below is a screen shot from their website (the installations page)where they call it DashDAQ and even show a picture of it with the DashDAQ logo.

Looking on different forums people were saying they couldn't read files and weren't compatible. Just try it then if you think it will work, I mean it sounds like you're up a river right now anyways because you want to stick with a company that is no longer in business versus switching to SCT or EZ Lynk, so you might as well try it.
