Trying to figure out what to do with the ride height. Originally the truck was going to be low but after I put the big tire on the back it brought it back up and I can’t go any lower with out doing a 4 link which is like $5k so not an option right now. The other option is to bring the front up and match the rear height and put the bigger wheels and tires on the front. I’ve been thinking like 19.5 or 20s that look like the back and around a 35 inch tire or so. Here’s a few pics. The first two are current height but with “black” wheels and second 2 are 6 inches higher in the front to match. Let me know what you guys think. The rake is bothering me but it might just be the crappy from wheels.

I don't mind some front to back rake at all. But IMO, your truck definitely looks better in the 2nd set of pics lifted up in the front. I also like the idea of bigger tires and or wheels in the front for sure.

Thanks that’s what I think I’m leaning towards also.

Alright, in my attempt to jeep this project moving, I got some painting done. Front wheels are now black, these are temps until I get black 19.5 wheels with bigger tires. Stacks are black now and the box around them is on. I just need to paint the angle pieces black for the corners of the box to match the bed trim. Next I’ll be mourning and wiring up flood lights under bed and wiring them to the up fitter switches. And also wiring the marker lights in the edges of the bed to my parking light circuit so they work and I can see the bed edges at night. I’m liking it. Having a bunch of fun driving it and towing with it.

Today I got my traction bar mounts welded on. Installed the bars Tonight. Going to drive it and see how it feels if I need to tighten or loosen them. Also got my stacks straightened out. Thanks to a local welding/exhaust shop they hooked me up and fixed my hooky pipe work under the truck.

I need some help with a noise I’ve been having. With my tune I have (eco beast from blessed) I started noticing it more. Truck runs good and with the tune the vgt sweeps to 85% when at idle and coming to. A stop. I love how it sounds. But I’ve been getting a squealing screeching noise when this happens or under heavy acceleration. Does this sound like an exhaust leak. Maybe a cracked up pipe or leak at a g band clamp? That’s what I’ve read on line but wasn’t sure. Thought maybe it was my pilot bearing but I’m not thin on that any more. If it is a cracked up pipe or v band clamp what’s the easiest way to find and confirm it? I don’t see any black soot marks around the pipes from what I can see laying under the truck.

Is it possible you are having turbo surge? Stalling the compressor wheel by making slight contact with the housing under boost or vacuum?

Idk. It’s not surging or “farting” at all. It’s just a high pitched squeal noise under heavy accel or when the games close to 85% and Im Coasting slowing down. When it happens if I do anything to change rpm or load whether it be hit the throttle or brakes or clutch or anything it stops. It’s like it has to be just right. But “just right” happens to be a pretty common place and it happens more then I’d like to hear it haha

When I was having an issue like that I came to the conclusion I was losing my turbo and that's when I got my KC stage 2. But I think you got a new turbo during this build didn't you?

No I didn’t it’s stock still. I wanted to but funds got redirected to other things to get me up and running. I’m gonna pull the turbo out anyway. This way I can look at the turbo and I can look in my down pipe cuz I think it’s burning oil snd I’m wondering if it the turbo seal leaking oil by. Maybe two birds one stone thing going on here. Maybe I’ll just do turbo. Up pipes and everything at one time haha. Money willing

That's the thing. I didn't do much troubleshooting since I was wanting a KC turbo anyway haha. I do know once I got the new turbo it didn't screech no more lol. Truck looks real good with that painted up.

Thanks man. I think I’m gonna rip the turbo out snd start with that and go from there. I’ll look at the turbo snd the pipes.

Hey guys. I know I haven’t posted in a while. Been busy enjoying the truck as it is and having some fun with the family. Some rzr rides and camping and lake time. Got a little snap shot of the stacks blowing some smoke and thought it looked cool. Plan is to keep driving it for a while then work on it again this winter. Although I did order some New bd up pipes to fix my whistling issue. Should be here sometime soon. Wish I had done it when the engine was out haha.

Hey guys, might sound crazy but has anyone ever done a spring under flip in the back on a super duty? Just saw a truck and I got to thinking. If I could put the springs under the axle and possibly notch the frame I could put the bags in the c notch and really drop the truck low. Didn’t know if anyone had seen or done this to a super duty. I didn’t see any kits. Only kit I found was for 1997-2004 f250 which doesn’t make sense cuz 2004 should b the same as 2007 I would think?

PS: my up pipes came in. Well packaged and look great. Hopefully install is good too.
