Semi metallic or ceramic. I tow a lot, brakes feel weak. I fear they may have glazed during a high heat braking episode. Anyone with experience with ceramic brake pads? May this be a better choice for towing?

I'm running drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. I love them. The truck seems to stop better (shorter distance, less effort) than the stock pads and rotors. Ceramic pads should be "heat set" right after installing.

If you're glazing, warping rotors or are experiencing brake fade, the drilled & slotted rotors will help as they cool much better. Keeping brake fluid changed will make a difference, especially if you tow over hills regularly. Braided brake lines help also.

Performance Friction heavy duty. I have towed over 12k with them on 4 trucks and never had a issue. Excellent rotor wear to.
