Well here is the scoop. Took truck in to local dealer to have oil changed/tires rotated. (I'd do it myself but they only charge $75) Tech noticed brake pads thin and spec'd all 8 at less than 3mm. Ok, thanks dealer. I whistle away. Go over to les schwab for my appt to have my rotors resurfaced. Shoot the sh!t with the guy and he recommends not resurfacing them now because it would be a waste of one resurface if I was to keep using the old pads and instead replacing the calipers, pads, resurfacing the rotors and "flush" the brake lines on all 4 at a price of $634.00 and he informs me that les schwab warranties them for 25k/36 months, whichever comes first. I do not get to keep my old calipers they keep them as a core to send back to a company who's name starts with an "F" (can't remember) and they rebuild them and send them back to les schwab. He showed me the caliper and it had a Ford emblem on it. Just wanna know what you guys would do or think I should do. I could of course have the rotors resurfaced then throw on new pads for much cheaper I'm sure but would it be worth it? Any tips, insight, or opinions greatly appreciated.
