Please forgive me for asking about a GM engine on a Ford forum but I am stumped. We have a HMMWV (humvee) at work we just replaced the engine. The brake booster is a hydro boost that uses the power steering pump similar to the system on my 6.0L. Our problem is when you rev the engine, the brake pedal moves. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Which way is it moving? I assume away from the firewall which may mean that the spring in the master cylinder is either broken or has work hardened. It also may be cavitation due to air in the lines.

Thanks for the help. I'm a helicopter mechanic so I might not get this right, but it appears the accumulator check valve is leaking so we are getting a new hydro boost. The mechanic found it because of a leak between the housing halves.

Also, sorry for originally posting in the wrong area.
