Well it started while going up an on-ramp to a highway. I got on it to get up to speed and heard a boost leak develop. It’s a high whine starting at about 5-10 psi. Put a boost detector on it and found a few small leaks but is still leaking. I can hear a leak from inside the valve cover and a lot of air coming from the crankcase vent tube, the 90 degree out of the doghouse. Is it a ring? Should I open valve cover and pour oil in to see where it is bubbling? That should pinpoint it? Thanks in advance, Rick

under the valve cover wouldn't be a boost leak, it would be blow-by. With the engine running, remove the oil cap and set it upside down on the oil fill stem. Does it fly off or just sit on the stem ?

Ok, I flipped the oil filler cap and it just sits there. So I’m happy about that! I guess It’s only when it builds boosttgat it begins to leak out of the ccv 90 degree tube. I’m beginning to think it’s the spider. But I tightened them down and could feel no air. Intake plenums maybe?
