I am new to diesels as well as to owning anything with a turbo how/where do i run the line to pick up the boost reading.

I used the map line, it will be in plastic wire loom and runs behind the oil fill spout. You can also by an adaptor and install it in place of the air intake heater, but I still prefer the map line. Be sure not to kink the tube, it can happen very easy!!!

I have had both. They gave me about the same readings FWIW. I have mine in the AIH spot right now.

Here is a pic of the MAP line with a Tee installed in it. Notice the boost line is not attached. The pic was taken after I moved the boost line to the AIH, but you get the idea.



And here is where I get my readings from now.
