Welcome, Craig! So are you interested in joining the Oklahoma Chapter?
We're just getting started, and trying to build our membership. There
are at least two get-togethers in the planning stage for this summer.
Hopefully, there will be many more.

Craig out of Okiecity,

If I wanted to cripple the american economy I would not fly planes into the world trade towers, I would raise deisel prices to a insane level!!

You know talking about fuel prices bings up an interesting question.
Now I have listened to all the crap spewing forth from the big oil companies and also the crap spewing forth from our reps in congress about the price of oil etc etc.
I will say this... no one discusses the amount of oil currently being produced in THIS country we are always hearing about Iraq, Iran or I something.
My belief is this, the American oil companies are selling our oil to us at the same price it is going for on the world market.
Now I had an interesting conversation several years ago with a big believer in a world economy. What finally brought the conversation to an end was my statement that anyone who believed in a world economy did not understand the principle of water, which is... it will seek it's own level. I do not want my level of life to match any other country's I was happy with the level it was at.
The bottom line is this... oil companies will continue to charge the prices they are charging until forced to stop. With the current administration and congress that isn't likely to happen soon if at all.
What will force that to happen is when the population finally recognizes we are not in a recession but a full blown collapse of the economy.
Sorry for the long, venemous post but I do feel better!
Darrell
