Blue smoke With new injectors

I replaced the injectors in my 97 7.3 due due a skip, hard starts and white smoke, i made sure to spin the motor over without the glow plugs in to remove the oil. the truck runs great now but even after driving around for 20 min it still smokes really badly, bluish smoke like oil burning. i checked for blow by, checked the fuel filter to see if i pinched an oring and it was clean and the turbo is in excellent shape. Any chance it could still be burning off oil that was left in the cylinder or exhaust? or is it something i should be worrying about?

Following... just did mine with sleeves. Burned off the white smoke fairly quick. Maybe 20 miles of freeway driving. Now she rolls coal every time I leave a stop sign or light.. more so than before I replaced them. Don't know whether it's an issue or not.

Aftermarket/upgraded injectors will need tuned to not "roll coal".

Do you have a video of the amount of smoke? Might need to keep going to help burn the rest of it off.
I drove another 30-40 miles yesterday and still burns oil like crazy

If this is directed to myself, no I don't have a video. But to clarify, I'm not rolling coal like most of these tuned diesels high school kids are driving. When accelerating, either from a stop or just stepping on it on the freeway, I am getting some black smoke. My only question eith this is because it didn't smoke ad much before. Prior to injector swap, if I wanted it this much smoke, I had to let her idle for 10-15 minutes to let her load up. One "solid" press of the pedal (or even a mile down the freeway) and she cleaned herself up nicely.

What I replaced were stock rebuilt AA injectors. No special tuning. I do have a TS 6 position chip which I typically leave on 75hp. Seemed to be the best fuel economy.

Well I say "rolling coal" as in either intentionally blowing a lot of smoke or lots of smoke.

If you are getting a light puff then that's ok. You have fresh injectors that are fully working again and delivering the fuel demanded.

My old tired injectors give a puff under hard acceleration when I pull out in crazy Houston traffic but if you let the turbo spool you can avoid much of the smoke before passing someone on the hwy for example.
