I have a 06 6.0 with 86,400 miles on it. All stock except straight pipe. Mostly after truck sits for a few hours I start it up and about 15 seconds later it starts blowing blue smoke until it warms but only at idle. It also happens warm or cold taking off from stop lights . And every once in a while it will do it idling when warm.

The truck has never really been worked or beat on its whole life. And is in great shape.

I've checked blow by when cold and warm and it checked out good. Truck burns no oil (at least what I can tell) . Have 3500 miles on oil change running Rotella t6 5w40 syn. With hot shots.
There is some oil in turbo but I don't think it's enough to make it smoke thus much.

Truck always starts perfect hot or cold , and runs perfect

Next month I am doing studs, head gaskets . New injectors (155/30) , egr delete , new oil cooler , new HPOP and irp valve, new up pipes.
(Figured I'll do everything while it's apart )

Mine is doing the exact same thing! It started out small, but has gradually become worse. Small amount of oil in turbo intake, but seems to smoke more than that. It's definitely oil that is being burnt.

My money is on either turbo seals or injector o-rings. Both cheap fixes.
