Fuel pressure at idle will be around 2 psi, less if not running, so you are probably OK, just keep bleeding 'till you get fuel to the filter. You will then probably have to crack the injectors to get te rest of the air out.
ok. i am having a problem getting fuel upto my first " lift " pump. for some reason. i have cracked the hard line that goes from the lift pump to the fuel filter OFF and i have a catch can under it. WITH nothing coming out after roughly 10 -15 mins of cranking.
i called derrick and he told me to disconnect the line FROM the lift pump and fill it ( back to the tank ) then connect it.
once thats done fill the " lift tube " to teh filter. connect it.
and finally the FILTER itself.
once this is complete it SHOULD fire correct.
at least a sputter right?
ALSO i have worked on MANY MANY GAS cars ( mustangs, trucks, cars ) and YES IM SURE MY LINES ARNT MXED UP.. ( feed/return i mean )
