The local QT truck stop that I usually fill up at has these new stickers on the pumps showing the fuel has a blend of between 5-20% bio diesel. The old stickers used to say that it may contain up to 5% of bio diesel. I filled up and added my normal dose of Opti Lube XPD. Maybe it’s just my imagination but the truck feels like it’s running smoother and is noticeably quieter now. It has me wondering if I should even bother with an additive anymore.

Here in CA I buy fuel that is 100% Biomass. My '01 runs great on it. Quieter, a little peppier, smoother. I still use PS DieselKleen most tanks.

Bio is a more "oily" feeling fuel when you get it on your hands
not sure how that translates to the injection system

I have ran B20 in my tractors and the engines seem to like it
the fuel does not store very long tho

I fill my tractor from my transfer tank so it gets the same fuel my truck does. Sometimes I’ll go a month without filling the tractor up. How long is it good for?

I have a 150 gallon storage tank, usually go thru 3 or so each summer and try to end the year on a fourth with winter blend for feeding in the cold months -- I had algae in a clean 55 gallon barrel I had stored in the barn. Had forgotten about it until late fall, the barrel was sealed and on a skid but had a bunch of crud in the bottom
The fuel company told me three months, but I am not sure it lasted that long
