I have a 1999 7.3 with a build date of 3-22-1999. I was wondering what would be the best turbo wheel upgrade for my stock turbo? I'm looking for performance and some extra whistle . I've heard of the batmowheel and WW2, does anybody have suggestions?

How much more whistle did you get compared to stock. I was reading and it says a 12hp gain, is that actually true?
Really hard to feel 12 HP in a 8K # vehicle with the seat of the pants. Noticeable gains are quicker spool up time and it moves more air at all RPM ranges so it keeps your EGT's cooler. Not a ton but its noticeable on the gauge. This wheel was also quieter than my previous wheel, Borg Warner Whistlin Wheel.

Also, i will be selling my Riffraff Billet Wheel in the next week or so. Ordering a new Riffraff Wheel on Friday.

I'm not sure what's going on with my turbo,
It's a L99, I was told its a hybrid (maybe the L99 with the E99 impeller?

Here is mine, not sure what it is or if it's any good.

But it dose have a really good sound even at idle but cursing along it's pretty quiet (good for long trips) but give it some throttle it wakes up!
And on shut down you can hear it spool down  so I'm pretty happy with it but always want better..

Why are you selling one to buy a new one, is it damaged? Did the design change since your original? I'm interested in it as well if the OP passes.

Will the ported housing wheel work on a stock turbo?

It will work on a stock turbo with a ported housing.

It will not work on a completely stock GTP38, you would want the regular Billet wheel or WW2 for this.

My turbo came with an ATS ported housing on it, this is the only reason i would be able to put the Billet wheel for ported housing on my turbo.

just get the stock billet wheel.

the housing is almost 400 bucks, so unless you already had it, its not worth it.

No need for the ported housing with the RiffRaff and Dieselsite wheel. Both get rid of the surge which was one of the reasons to get the ported housing for the most part.
Those two billet wheels would be the ONLY two I'd consider. Great bang for the buck!!

I was going to go with a 1.0 A/R exhaust housing and delete my ebpv to lower egts and eliminate surge. Would this compressor wheel do the same for less $$$ I have a wicked wheel now and still get surge
Which WW do you have?
