Im getting ready to replace my belt tensioner, idler pulley and belt. One of them is squeaking but im just going to replace them both since they have 124k on them.

Any tips or tricks to make this any easier? Would taking the fan off help? If i do take the fan off i will probably take the plastic stator off while i was in there as well.

I am going to be driving my truck to Arizona from here in Missouri ,the second week of August, i made a list of things to check/change before the trip, any suggestions on that aspect??

Taking the fan off would help, but it's kind of a pain to do it. When you say plastic stator, do you mean the fan housing?

PS. I did mine when my fan and radiator were already out, so it wasn't a big deal.
