I was poking around under my hood today and noticed the rear 2 injectors back by the downpipe all the wires coming out of the injector connector are all melted and its just the 4 bare wires touching eachother. What could have melted this? I put a 4" downpipe on about a month ago that might be it but I didnt really notice the injectors then so im not sure if it was from that. I ordered 2 new injector connectors that come with about a foot of wire on them to splice into the harness and I will wrap the in heat proof shielding, also got exhaust wrap for the downpipe. Just wondering what damage this could have done? It doesnt have any codes now even with the wires all melted

You probably already too care of this but the intake can and does do this. Mine did it. So wrap it in high heat wire loom and then put silicone fire tape around it.

as long as none of the wires touch eachother you should not get a code.
With no insulation there is a high probability of that happening tho.
