HI, I'm new to the forum but not to the 6.0. I have a 2005 4x4 that I bought new and I must like it! Here is my problem: I needed to replace the front axle u-joints so I figured I would install new ball joints, axle seals( the new one), hubs, rotors and calipers. Everything was going well, afer the new ball jointe(torqued properly) the knuckle moved back ane forth as it should. I installed the axle with new seals(used the proper seal installng tool) knuckle moved fine. When the hub was within 1/4" of being seated things were still O.K. Once the hub was seated and the mounting bolts tight but not torqued yet, the knuckle would move as if making a left turn but then only back to center and only a bit towards right. I loosened the hub and backed it out a bit and the knuckle was fine.????
I've done lots of front end work on all types of cars/trucks but never have seen this.
Any ideas would be appreciated..... THX
