Hello and thanx in advance.
I have an 05' f550 utility truck. It has an audible alarm that beeps when it is in reverse. The other day I noticed that when I step on the brake the alarm starts beeping.
Now there are no tail lights or brake lights, side marker lights do work. Also when I turn on the head lights the alarm starts beeping also. The alarm itself has 3 wires going to it and it looks like it is self grounding. Is there something that could cause all of this to happen? All of it(lighting) functioned fine 1 week ago, I checked it before I left on a trip. Any idea where to start?
Thanx

sounds a little different

you would think a backup alarm would only need 1 or 2 wires

do you have a third brake light ? the tailights part of the utility bed correct ?

i might start there and look for wiring issues
