with all the intercoolers out there what setup did you use and what
was the temp change with your setup before and after affects.
What was the temps you was running pulling or hot rodding or just
plain driving around.

Trying to find what would work well for i tow at my max for my truck.
I have a 99 f250 auto 4x4 with dual exhaust power pup and aem
brute force intake, with a heavy duty rebuilt trans. The guy before
me had the trans built so i would not have to come out of the truck
again. One other question how can you tell the difference between
a 7.3 trans cooler and a 6.0 trans cooler.

well the difference between the 7.3 and 6oh trans coolers is about 400%. the 6oh cooler is almost 4 times the size of the 7.3 cooler. its a good upgrade to keep the temps down. as far as intercoolers any of the aftermarket i/c's will suit you. id go with either a spearco-hypermax-diesel innovations. all good setups.......

a bigger turbo exhaust housing will also help with egt's......

the 6oh trans cooler is probably atleast 3 times larger than the factory 7.3 trans cooler. as for an aftermarket intercooler id suggest one from Diesel Innovations, its a very nice piece and cooled my egt's down quite a bit.

7.3 vs. 6.0 trans cooler, 9 row vs. 31 row, 3.4 times bigger

huge difference

thats a huge difference in the trans cooler. The other question was at
how much can it drop egt with stock turbo compared to a aftermarket
turbo. When i pull this setup i get 900 dg temps on normal flat ground
thats before the turbo. Maybe a little less depending on outside temp.
how hard is it to install the 6.0 trans cooler.

While I agree that the pic of the 7.3 trans cooler and the pic of the 6.0 trans cooler shows a HUGE difference.. we aren't debating trans coolers. We're debating intercoolers. So showing a 7.3 vs a 6.0 inter cooler would have been a better debate :p

trans cooler

that was just my second question i tow a 33 ft fifth wheel i had it weighed
at a truck stop. The total weight came in at just a little over 20k thats
why i ask about trans coolers and the aftermarket turbo and intercooler.
I have towed in 103 deg weather, so having these items on my truck
would improve the towing capabilities.

Oh then hell ya put that cooler on it then. I'm curious to know the size differences of the 7.3 and 6.0 IC though

cooler egt towing

i would like the cooler egt also so when i tow in the mountains
i wont have to hit 1800 dg i know it not good but i dont hold it
there just to see topping out on the egt gauge. At 1200 it was
flashing at me. only did that 1 time on average i keep it 1200
or lower. So a good turbo plus intercooler would really help me
out. So what combo would you guys suggest for the lowest egt
setup.

You just want a bigger intercooler and a bigger turbo. And some custom tunes.

Ya but once you get a bigger turbo you need bigger fuel injectors. So a "small" project is now a large PRICEY project.

i need a setup for towing at my max tow capacity so
that means i need a good trans cooler and a very good
turbo and intercooler setup. So i can be able to tow my fifth
wheel. So what have you guys seen for dropping temps
in those 2 areas. I should have changed it to turbo and
aftermarket intercooler along with trans coolers for towing
to keep those 2 areas as cool as i possibly can.

You will need injectors as well. Water meth kit would help i guess.
