I got an 06 F250, looking to add another filter to my truck or two as a system. I was thinkin of these 3 options as logical for me. Either Get an Air Dog 150, Throw a Racor 500FG Series under the frame that uses the 2010 element or wait for the XX Fuel System to come out, or use there dual universal one. What do you think is best? Im not looking for Huge HP Gains, i dont sled pull or tow anything over 10K, i tow maybe a couple of times a year long distance with a boat for the business i work for, usually too Atlantic city, NJ....Annapolis, MD, and sometimes florida. Im gunna add an edge CTS to monitor things, and might consider the BPD system w/o delete and gunna put a 4in exhaust on it as well. Im looking more for reliability then 500+HP, im happy with the 325BHP and 570 Ftlbs, altho will like to maybe go as high as 400 and maybe areound 600Fts or so. I like the Elite diesel system but too much for me now and needless. Ive upgraded to the blue spring already as well. what do you recommend?

I have the Airdog II 130/75 and like it a lot.
get fuel psi and easy to change the filter.
Plus the filters are only about $15, a lot less then the stock ones at about $65.

do you plan on adding more filters on top of what the airdog already has? Or just adding the airdog which has the fuel filter and water seperator? I actually eliminated both factory filters on my truck and am running a FASS fuel pump system with 1 fuel filter, which is 3 micron and a water seperator. Going two years strong so far and my 190cc injectors are still happy.

no, basically my plan was this, use the factory Engine and HFCM with the Airdog 150....or Instead of getting an air dog 150 i could put a racor500 under there or see if XX Fuel comes out with a system for the 6.0 The only other option i could do is i have a donaldson p558800 filter with a base, the filter is 20micron tho. i dont wanna have 10 filters, just wanna add too the factory filters. Does the air dog completely eliminate the factory fuel pump or no? i would preferably like to add the xx fuel system but its not avail yet for ford. im thinking the donaldson or racor series is good as well. is the air dog really worth it?

the airdog 150 still uses the factory HFCM, but the airdog II eliminates it. There's really no sense in having that many fuel filters. This is why i totally eliminated mine by totally removing the HFCM and taking a sawzall and cutting the engine filter/regulator right off of the oil filter housing.

what about the return system on the Air Dog 150, i dont want the air dog II, does it still regulate pressure at the Fuel Filter at the engine?

So why dont you want the Airdog II?? I dont quite follow you. I realize that it is about $130 more than the airdog I but I think it is in actuality the most cost effective route to take as it just gets rid of the factory HFCM and that way you dont need to buy any filters other than the ones for the airdog and it plugs right in where your old pump use to be as opposed to having to wire in a new pump and I think it will serve whatever purpose you desire for your truck. JMO.

i dont really wanna spend the extra 130, im going to keep the truck like i stated early close to stock, maybe a little more power. Right now i have my eyes set on the air dog or air dog II, but curious to know if i put a racor 500FG on there, that is a 60GPH filter is that too restrictive? Basically my point is besides an air dog or fass system What is a good alternative for the time being to use as another filter. I basically have 2 options. I have a Cummins Filter base with a FS1212 on it that filters to 20micron, that uses 3/8 line. Or I can get a racor 500FG turbine filter from work really cheap and add that on. Im not gunna buy the air dog till next yr bc money is a little tight, so i just want to know if the Racor or cummins filter base is Ok to use in the meantime. The 60gph on the racor seems kinda low? any thoughts on using it? thanks
