Question: Has anyone ever taken their F250 to a weigh station (commercial or private), and gotten an 'empty weight' of their truck?

I've searched about every piece of Ford info I can find, and don't see any info about the estimated weight of our trucks.

It would seem that Ford should know about what each truck weighs coming off the assembly line in the various trims (XLT, Lariat, KR... 2WD, 4WD... SRW, DRW), but it seems the info just isn't out there.

My 6.0 ccsb weighs around 7800 with a full tank of fuel, and my crossover toolbox in the back, thats when it was completely stock, with nothing but an exhaust, not sure on the new ones, but my guess is fairly close. Maybe a little more with emissions

According to Ford, the base curb weight of a 2011 SuperCab short bed PSD 4x4 is 7237 lbs. I would imagine it's within a few pounds for the 2012.

2011 F350 Lariat CC, SRW, LB, OEM tires and wheels, with B&W Turn Over Ball and Truxedo cover = 8200 lbs. give or take depending on how full the fuel tank is.

Those of you with F250s and sitting at 8800lbs, That doesn't leave you much payload till you hit your 10,000 lb gvw

Yeah no doubt close to GVW, it's confusing though, my door sticker says 1998# payload, less me 200#, WD hitch 114# ( includes bars and chains) and hand tools under seat +-35 #. Not sure how they get 1998 when with me and the unloaded gear weigh in at 8800#? Does the plow prep add that much? The weigh receipts with the dump trailer have me 10500# empty trailer is 1700 net. (5000# gross) ( dont have an no trailer attached receipt in the truck) what is really confusing GAWR front and rear is 12040#. I can only assume that the Michelin load E @ 80 psi are rated at 3200# when reduced to 65 psi lowers there weight carrying to 10k#. I don't know, was pretty shocked at how heavy it is. My 96 350 CCLB PS. With metal cap only weighed in at 7800#.
