Been researching around the ORG for a couple monthes now and i want to start buying the parts every month for a solid bullet proof on my 2005 f250 4x4 lariat FX4 i bought the truck with an EGR delete idk what brand other than that the truck looks stock, the carfax looked like it had a major service which i think was EGR delete and head gaskets but doesnt look like it has studs.

First thing i am getting hopefully november first is a power package from IDP inculding S&B Intake, 5inch Straight pipe Turbo back Exhaust (MBRP), and SCT Livewise TS with IDP tunes for ~ $1300 INSTALLED NOV 21 2013

so far from what i got researching for bullet proof is:

ARP Head Studs ~ $500
OEM Ford Head Gaskets ~ $250
Intake Gaskets ~ $150
External Coolant Filter ~ $150
HPOP STC fitting ~ $100
6.4L Banjo Bolts ~ $20
Oil Cooler ~ $2000

also what i am looking at is
BANKS techni-cooler ~ $1300
Fuel Regulator kit from Strictly Diesel ~ $670
225cc or 240cc injectors from someone on here
upgraded turbo from peixinho
AirDog II df-165 from MKM customs ~ $670
regulated return and injector sizes are both dependant on each other and what route i go...

what else should i look at and prices and where are the best places to buy? im looking at putting a little extra power out of the truck and make it 100% reliable before lifting it and putting bigger tires on it. i am looking at an 8inch lift from RIZE IND and running 37in tires. any info on lifting and stuff is also appreciated. when i finally get everything i need to do the job i plan on alot of pictures and walk through posted here on the ORG. this will be a cab on motor in DIY job.

Thank you very much for any help.

I didn't know Elite was offering DIY injectors from 170cc-225cc. I thought they only offer the 155cc which only plugs the spill ports and bigger nozzles.

In order to go bigger in cc after 155, you'll need to have the fuel plunger and intensifier piston machines down.

Ok, I see now. They are selling you the injector bodies with the plunger and piston already cut to the cc.

so this?
Bullet Proof Diesel Engine Oil Cooler, Standard Duty Cooler.

and i heard upgrading the intercooler was important i guess the stock ones have weak welds on the ends or somethign?
Yep, thats the one.
the stock cac has plastic ends that "can" blow off at very high boost but I dont think its very common. Bpd sells a kit to weld aluminum ends on the stock cac, I built one for my truck, its a real nice kit.

how much boost are you pushing with that kit? at the end of my build i would like to be pushing 45-50 psi

can you elaborate a little on this compared to buying "real" injectors
Elite is selling injector bodies with plunger/piston cut to cc, new nozzles and o-rings/seals. You will need to re-use your solenoid spool valve. The down side to this is, if your spool valves are worn/stiction, you will still experience issues.

If you go with complete rebuilt (new) injectors, the spool valve and solenoids will be new.

I heard rumor, that one company was working on selling new spool valve/solenoid, but haven't heard if they were released yet

Mine is stock so about 30lbs, but others here on the board are running high boost thru the same cac kit.

Well it looks like you are on the right track. Keep doing your research and it will all come together. The best prices I have ever seen is by searching around for sales and checking on ebay... for example arp studs are usually around $400+, but you can find them around $300 every once in a while.

For any actual ford parts go to this website. They have the cheapest prices
AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake Parts (previously Tousley Ford Parts)

Also you can find much better deals on injectors... rather than a diy kit from elite (i sent you a pm)

Keep going on your research. Do you have a hp goal in mind? HP will change everything. No need for 225cc injectors if you are only looking for 500hp... also if you go any larger than 155cc I would recommend upgrading your turbo to match the injectors. With that big of tires are you planning on re-gearing the truck to make it more streetable.

Here a couple of other mods to do while you are in there

new oil cooler or bpd oil cooler
blue spring upgrade (if you decide not to do a full fuel system)
CCV delete
zoodad mod
updated turbo feed and drain lines
if you do keep your stock turbo take it out and clean/rebuild it
clean all your sensors and check all your wires while in there
if you get new injectors I would also make sure your ficm is good
anything over 500hp you should start planning a tranny build
Switch to ELC coolant
Add a coolant filter
Clean/replace your IPR screen while your are in there

Most of it is easy to find here on the org if you just search the key words. Let me know if you have any specific questions about mods or hp goals.

Yes, as said above. I'd invest in a coolant filter as well. Relatively inexpensive peace of mind. Especially if you are going to be installing a new oil cooler. Also stated above, I'd do the bluespring mod.

I also saw that you mentioned that you were going to be getting 6.4 banjo bolts.. If you want to get them, that's your decision but I know they were kind of debunked in this thread: http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/ge...559985-banjo-bolts-myths-surround-them-5.html. A member discovered that the fuel lines themselves are the restriction, and the bolts don't offer much, if any gain from installing them. But hey, I wish I was able to go through the bulletproof process, but I am lacking the funds to do so. Good luck buddy!
